Christmas Ready
Every night since Thanksgiving, Union Square has been bustling with activity. The Christmas tree has been lit and it delights everyone who sees it. I myself love to walk in the square and look at the tree every time I am on my way home from work. Today, the menorah was installed and it will soon be lit to commemorate Hannukah.

Did you know that it is Macy's that puts the tree up in the square year after year? Yes, oh yes. It is the store's gift to the city of San Francisco.
This is Neiman Marcus's giant tree inside its tall lobby. I couldn't take a full shot of the department store due to the ongoing subway construction around it.
