Lovin' It!

Christmas is definitely just around the corner. Of course, retail establishments are always the first ones to put up the decorations. Today was a holiday for me it being Veteran's Day and so I had a few hours to window shop and see what was already up. Like always, I went to Union Square. The subway construction along Stockton Street is temporarily being put on hold for the holidays and work on paving the street was being done. I can't wait for the Macy's Valley to come alive and turn into the Green like last year. These were some of the happy images I saw about the forthcoming holiday season.

I am so glad to see this phrase more this Christmas. For years, people have been scared to use it for fear of not being politically correct. I honestly prefer to greet my family and friends Merry Christmas and not Happy Holidays. This is the phrase I grew up with and it is my greeting to everyone come Dec. 25 as well as the days leading up to the big day.

What is Christmas without Christmas trees or their images in many kinds of merchandise?

People have always thought of red and green as the colors of Christmas. Isn't gold one of them too?

Nutcrackers galore. I love these decorations a lot but I only buy the German made ones. The craftsmanship and the quality between the Made in China and Made in Germany nutcrakers are simply night and day.

You do have to believe!

Inside Crate and Barrel. I wonder where all the people went? Actually, there were people in the store at the time of my visit. I just made sure no one got in the shot when I clicked my camera.

How I love this phrase! Merry Christmas, people!

Merry Christmas!
