It was quite heartwarming to see this Irish bar place a US flag right above its main door in remembrance of the 4th of July, the American Independence Day.

Everywhere we went in Belfast, people we spoke to in the city told us stories of a family member or relative who left Ireland for the US back in the old days and stayed there. Others were likewise quick to mention that they have been to the US, some adding that they too have visited our beloved San Francisco. It was definitely nice to be in a place where the US and Americans were appreciated.
