Leicester Square, Chinatown, and Covent Garden

Before leaving San Francisco for our Ireland and UK vacation, Marc and I agreed that we would try to go to the theater at least once just like we did during our first visit in 1997. Back then we watched Damn Yankees and Oliver. By the time we arrived in London mid July, we decided to forego that plan. It was not because there was nothing interesting. We caught something in Belfast that rendered us ill up until our return to the US. As Marc said, "That's okay, we'll do it next time. Perhaps, on our third trip back to London."

The reason was we were both sick and coughing like mad. We would have just annoyed and probably even scared other theater goers with our huffing and puffing had we gone. As Marc always says, "That's okay, we'll do it next time."

Half priced tickets to the theater anyone? When Marc and I were still in the US and we had not begun our trip to Ireland and the UK yet, we agreed we would at least watch one musical. Once we got there though, we both got sick. We decided to spare the guests our constant coughing and sneezing and not be a nuisance.

Chinatown was very close to Leicester Square. We had buffet lunch here in 1997. It wasn't the best but it was filling from what we could remember.

I'm back in London's Chinatown!

How I wish I bought the leather satchel from this store. I'm still kicking myself for not doing so. It was on sale for crying out loud.
