Bye Liverpool
I was a bit reluctant to leave Liverpool. I loved the city a lot. How I wished Marc and I stayed a bit longer. Anyway, before we left, we found out that we could fly into St. Helier, the capital city of Jersey instead of taking the ferry. We figured we could use the extra time to sightsee if we traveled by plane. With the inexpensive fares by Easy Jet, it proved to be a no brainer. Thus, very early one morning, we took the airport bus from the Liverpool bus center to catch our flight.
To be honest, I was a bit apprehensive flying a low cost carrier like Easy Jet. We've read about it on the net and it didn't exactly have a stellar reputation.
The flight from Liverpool to St. Helier in Jersey took an hour. Given the cheap fare, meals on board were not provided. Everything cost some amount from the drinks to the snacks.
There were a number of travelers going on vacation but the airport was never full. In fact, the waiting lounges emptied up as soon as the sign boards indicated the gates for various departures. Our departure was smooth, quiet, and pretty uneventful up until our arrival in St. Helier in Jersey. I have written a separate entry for it.
