The College Green and Trinity College
I clearly remember visiting Trinity College on our first trip to Dublin. I knew it was in the city center but I just couldn't remember where it was exactly. It turns out, it was more centrally located than I previously remembered. It was a short distance away from O'Connell bridge and just opposite the equally grand Bank of Ireland building. Like I mentioned in a previous post about Dublin, the Irish capital was simply teeming with tourists this time around. Perhaps this was because we were there right during the high tourist season. Then again, Marc and I were there during the peak tourist on our very first visit and the city didn't seem anywhere as busy.
Groups of high school students from Spain, France and Italy were definitely a visible sight. I do know many travel to Ireland and England to study English. They all resembled group tours in that they all were herded from one place to another by a guide who carried either a flag or an umbrella.
One thing was certain when I visited Trinity College in Dublin. I couldn't help but wax nostalgia about my college days. How time flies. It has been thirty years since my graduation from college.
