Our vacation took place just a few weeks after the vote on same sex marriage in Ireland. I must say, I was surprised to see rainbow flags hanging on practically every cross street and every bar on O'Connell Street to every section of the city we saw and visited. I was quite surprised the vote was a unanimous YES by the Irish people, considering the country is so, so Catholic and very religious. Anyway, I was glad the vote turned out the way it did. How time has changed.
