It was already June 29, 2015 approximately 11:30 am Ireland time when Marc and I arrived in Dublin. Our flight was scheduled to leave Heathrow at 9:50 am but our plane didn't really take off until 10:30 am in London. The entire trip from Heathrow to Dublin International took just a shade over an hour, as the Aerlingus Irish captain put it. The flight was smooth all the way. Given the short duration of the flight, no snacks were served on board. Anyone who was hungry and wished to eat could purchase food on the flight. How airlines and their flights have changed. I remember being served wonderful food even on one hour flights years ago.

From the airport, Marc and I took the so called Airport Luxury coach for 7 Euros per person all the way to O'Connell Street. It took us several minutes to find our way to our hotel, the Best Western Academy Plaza, but with the help of one employee at the Dublin tourist office nearby, we eventually did.
