Despite the 40 minute delay in our take-off and departure last June 28, 2015 from SFO International Airport for Dublin, Ireland via London's Heathrow, our flight still arrived 8 minutes earlier than the scheduled arrival and three hour layover in England. I sure was glad we had ample time to catch our connecting flight to Dublin since the security check and trip through UK immigration took some time. Once done with the strict security at Heathrow, Marc and I toured the airport. It had been over ten years since I last traveled through here and I was pleasantly surprised with its modernization and new look.

Our United flight dropped us off at Heathrow's Terminal 1 but we took our connecting flight to Dublin via Aerlingus, Ireland's national airline, in Terminal 2.

I loved browsing in the stores here. The branches which Harrods, Ted Baker, Paul Smith, and Ben Sherman had here were small but very, very interesting just the same.
