In Observance of Memorial Day 2015

25-May-2015 • San Francisco United States

Today Marc and I decided to visit the San Francisco National Cemetery in observance of Memorial Day. We have passed by this national landmark so many times but we never really stopped to enter the premises. Little did we know how historic the place was. Americans who saw action in many wars from the 1800s to the Vietnam War are buried here.

It was quite moving to see families and relatives visit the graves of their deceased family members. We do have so much to thank the veterans who passed on serving the US and its people.

This is the grave of someone who saw action in the Spanish American War in 1898.

This is the grave of a former United States senator from the mid 1800s.
