It was only a month ago when Marc and I saw this World War II Memorial on the side of a road facing the Pacific Ocean.

I have seen many of these memorials. I have literally lost count. In Europe alone, every city and town has one for their fallen heroes. What sets this San Francisco memorial from all the rest is its location. It faces the sea and it is very, very dramatic. It was placed here primarily because it aims to remember those who perished along the American Coastal areas.
