What's the fuss over this new McDonald's?

Finally, a new McDonald's opened up in San Francisco two weeks ago. I was so happy that a new one did and just a block away from Union Square at that. This is the most centrally located one of all. People who are anti Goden Arches probably hate the idea of another franchise. But to be honest, I am happy this branch opened up.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I first entered. The entire place looked slick compared to the other McDonald's in the city.

I was even impressed by the giant screens from which I could order my food. It looked quite high tech. I bet this place will be buzzing with activity as soon as the word gets out.

A friend of mine asked me what all the fuss was over the opening of this joint. "It's a freaking McDonald's!" he adds. The truth of the matter is, the one I usually frequent along Market Street has become quite skanky and many times its patrons are accosted by very belligerent and aggressive homeless people panhandling. It has not felt safe for me for quite some time and I bet for many others as well.

This is the reason why I am so glad about the opening of this new McDonald's.

This McDonald's franchise is located along Sutter Street near Powell.

The impressive high ceiling helps make this location big and airy despite its narrowness

Here, customers and patrons could order their food from these touch screens. Of course, there is still a counter at the back of the restaurant should they wish to order from an attendant.

There were tables with outlets to plug phones and laptops

This place boasts of very high ceilings.
