A New Orleans Easter

12-Apr-2015 • New Orleans United States

With the exception of three years in Madrid, Spain and last year in Manila, I don't think I have ever celebrated Easter anywhere but San Francisco in the last 30 years. Being in New Orleans this year was an experience. Loving fashion a lot, I was glad to see a number of locals dressed for the occasion. They were so fashionably Southern. I have never seen so many men dress in seer sucker and khaki suits with bow ties and hats to boot.

As expected, there were many people in the French Quarter. Bars and restaurants were open and beer toting men could be seen on balconies and streets. It was all peaceful and fun. I particularly loved the scene inside the Ritz Carlton Hotel where many locals dressed oh so well lunching to some jazz music.

The Ritz Carlton is without a doubt one grand hotel. I enjoyed my stroll inside this institution immensely. The entire hotel was a beauty. Ever nook, every corner had exquisite art and old world furniture. I would love to stay here next time I go to New Orleans.
