Lunch at the Venetian

10-Apr-2015 • New Orelans United States

During our first full day at sea, all restaurants were open on board and the Venetian Restaurant which otherwise was only open for dinner on days at port was serving food. Since we already tried out the Garden Buffet shortly after our check in, we decided to lunch here.

The place looked posh and elegant. It sure was nice to be waited on. Our server hailed from Thailand. I asked if I could order two main dishes instead of one. I was told I could order as many and as much as I wanted. Thus, besides the pasta dish I originally chose, I also asked for fish and chips just in case. Marc and I actually split it.

To be honest, one thing I don't like about cruising is that I gain weight. I do get carried away and my portions tend to sway towards XXL. Anyway, I did enjoy all the eating.

We just can't resist calamari. We have it even on our trips abroad.
