New Orleans's French Quarter

6-Apr-2015 • New Orleans United States

I love the French Quarter. It is so, so pretty. I cannot get enough of the place. I fell in love with it the very first time I saw it years ago and I still love it now. The architecture is so European, so old. A visit to this area of New Orleans is literally a feast to the eyes.

It is no wonder New Orleans is always tops in terms of tourist visitors. For years it competed with San Francisco as the Number 1 US destination conducted by a leading travel magazine.

Here I am overlooking Jackson's Square

The beautiful cathedral. It was Palm Sunday when we visited and parishioners were arriving in droves for the mass. How I wish I was able to take a picture of the main altar. I didn't want to bother the service though. I did manage to take pictures of the area right before entering the main church.
