The Meiji Jingu

21-Feb-2015 • Tokyo Japan

I knew I wanted to pass by Meiji Jingu in Shibuya to pray prior to my return to the US from Tokyo. I have been here many times but I especially wanted to pray for my dad who had recently departed this world and I also wanted to ask for guidance and strength for myself. Though I am Catholic, I had no qualms praying here. I have always believed that the God of other religions are no different from my God. In my book, they are one and the same.

This was one of the two pictures I had taken from my visit to Tokyo. Just like this picture shows, I have really packed it in and I need to shed some pounds big time.

These barrels of wine from France were new additions to the grounds of the temple. I don't remember seeing them here before.
