Omotesando

17-Feb-2015 • Tokyo Japan

Omotesando is a relatively short walk from Shibuya. There is likewise a Tokyo Metro stop along this long stretch of commercial and retail street should you decide not to walk it. What separates this section from all the other shopping streets of Tokyo is the large presence of high end European and American brands.

I used to come here specifically to shop for Japanese handicrafts at the Oriental Bazaar popular among foreign visitors to the city.

Would you believe, there is now a franchise of Chicago's most famous popcorn, Garrett? The line for this store snaked along an entire block.

Restaurants with plastic replicas of their food are everywhere not just in Tokyo but throughout the country.
