I arrived early evening in Hong Kong from San Francisco. Unlike previous layovers in this airport when I arrived around 6 am and the duty free stores had not yet opened, the airport was full of transit passengers this time around. Given the proximity of the Chinese New Year, there were lots of décorations all over the airport commemorating the forthcoming event.
