New Year's Day

1-Jan-2015 • San Francisco, California United States

It has always been a tradition for my family to attend church services on New Year's Day. Although my family and I now live in different parts of the US and the globe, I try to continue the tradition.

It is the best time for me to give thanks for the year just passed and to ask for guidance and blessings in the new year.

Marc and I attended church services at Old St. Mary's today. The mass was celebrated by the Pastor and you can guess what he talked about in his sermon: New Year's Resolutions.

I have a few in mind and I just hope I get to keep them all throughout 2015.

We were in Las Vegas over Christmas and so I didn't get to attend mass here last week. The Christmas trees adorning the altar here now were not here yet by Dec. 20th. I think that was the case. Anyway, I loved how the altar looked today. So Christmasy.
