Country Inn and Suites in Barstow

25-Dec-2014 • Barstow, California United States

This year, Marc and I decided to celebrate the Christmas holidays in Las Vegas. Instead of flying, Marc suggested that he would just drive the entire distance as long as we cut the entire journey in two phases. We had done the same trip over ten years ago and I thought it was a good idea. After all, now that we're in the winter season, the days are shorter and it gets dark around 4:30 pm. Thus, last Monday, December 22nd, we spent the night in Barstow. WE stayed at the Country Inn and Suites.

The façade of the Country Inn and Suites

How I loved the hotel lobby! It looked so warm and cozy. It actually felt more like a family living room than the lobby of a chain hotel.

The tree was devoid of fancy and expensive ornaments but I liked it a whole lot. This just goes to show a tree need not be fitted with the most expensive decorations to make it look pretty.

We were assigned a room on the fourth floor. The room was so, so spacious. I do need to mention that the room we were given was handicapped friendly hence the size. I wasn't going to complain though. I did mention that it could easily fit three rooms we had stayed in Japan in previous years.
