It was Santacon last Saturday, December 13, 2014, and boy was it fun. San Francisco was literally a sea of red as it was littered with Santas all over. I never really knew about Santacon up until three years ago even though it's been around for twenty years. Apparently in began here in the Bay Area and spread to as many as 36 cities around the US. Sadly, last Saturday's event was the last one.

Some say that it was cancelled in some cities because this event, essentially a pub crawl, turns into vomit and brawl as soon as its participants get totally inebriated. Too bad. Based on what I saw, it was simply a joyous event with young college kids all dressed as Santas to celebrate the season. I do hope its organizers bring it back next year.
