My First Visit to Victoria, B.C., Canada

23-Oct-2014 • Victoria, B.C. Canada

The day after my childhood friend, Nelson Tolentino, and I went and visited Vancouver, we joined a tour to Victoria, BC. We just had to. The tiny Canadian island was too close not to visit and explore. Neither of us knew then when we were going to return. Thus, we had to take advantage of the opportunity.

If I am not mistaken, it was a Sunday and most commercial establishments were closed. We did make it to the beautiful Empress Hotel by the waterfront, the picturesque Butchart Gardens, Chinatown, and a few more attractions.

I remember it drizzling towards the end of our visit. We lucked out big time. It was dry while we were touring.

Next to the red double decker bus we rode to visit the Butchart Gardens from downtown Victoria.

On Government Street in the city center of Victoria. Hmmm, why was it so deserted?
