La Quinta Inn Seaside

5-Oct-2014 • Seaside, California United States

La Quinta Inn in the City of Seaside was our hotel during our weekend trip to Monterey, Carmel, and Big Sur. Our stay was complimentary due to the points which Marc had racked up while on business and which he redeemed for our overnight stay. We were very happy with our room. We stayed in room 211. I was apprehensive at first by the exterior of the hotel. It was not exactly upscale. But I was proven wrong. The hotel location was safe, the premises quiet, and the room very spacious and clean. I wouldn't mind staying here again.

Over and over again, I am just flabbergasted by the sizes of hotel rooms in the US. They are just so much bigger compared to the hotels we have stayed at abroad.

We had a king sized bed.

This was my side.

The work table

Get a load of the space. There's just nothing like it in Europe and Japan lest you pay hundreds upon hundreds of dollars folks.

The TV armoire

The flat screen TV

The bathroom vanity mirror

The sink and the toilet amenities

Here's the hair dryer which is a must for some travelers, especially Marc.

Towels galore. On our latest trip to Germany last August, we were only supplied two towels each day. There were even signs asking if we wanted to reuse. I couldn't believe it!

Talk about closets and closet space. We actually had one in our room. In our travels during the last three years, we hardly had closets in our hotel rooms.

There was even a mini-fridge! I have been traveling abroad so much I have totally forgotten the perks we get in American hotels. God bless America! A million thanks La Quinta!
