The Mayflower in Plymouth

17-Jul-2014 • Plymouth, Massachussetts United States

Year after year, I teach my students about the very first Thanksgiving ever celebrated in the United States, way before it even became the country it is today. As a teacher who is also a first generation immigrant, I also had to study about this very important holiday in US history. It was on this trip in the summer of 2009 did I see the Mayflower ship I often talk about. On the way back to Newport, Rhode Island from Boston, Marc gave me a few seconds to think about visiting this place before he missed the exit by the freeway. I sure was glad I said yes. The trip was so worth it.
