Coqueta

A good friend invited us to dinner last night. She took us to Coqueta, a Spanish-Argentine restaurant owned by celebrity chef Michael Chiarello located along the Embarcadero waterfront. Boy, did we have exquisite food for dinner. I was surprised our friend managed to get us in so quickly given the wait time for a table in this restaurant was a month. Now that we've eaten there, I can understand why.

The restaurant's interior. I took this just a minute before everyone came in. The place was packed solid when we were there.

This Guacho beef was exquisite. I normally stay away from steak and do not enjoy eating them at all. Don't get me wrong. I am no vegan. Of all types of meat, red meat is my least favorite of all. However, this slab of meat we ate was to die for. Absolutely tender, juicy, and delicious. This dish was good for four people. There were only three of us but it was down to the bone by the time the waiter took it away from our table.
