The Deer in Nara

27-Apr-2014 • Nara Japan

After a few days in Tokyo, Marc and I headed South of Japan, to Osaka, where we were going to stay for the majority of our two week vacation. While based there, we traveled to Nara for a day to visit its temples and see the famous deer that roamed its city's streets.

It didn't take long for us to see the deer. They literally were everywhere.

Here's some in the shade under a tree. The heat and humidity must have gotten to them too. Whew!

If he thought there was food in my backpack, he was right. There was a banana in there!

Hello little fellow!

The deer in Nara had gotten so familiar with people. They didn't run away in fright. In fact, they even approached people like they did to us.
