On Board Cathay Pacific's First Class

I have always traveled on US carriers and I must say, Asian Airlines beat their American counterparts in class and comfort. For my spring break this year, I just had to visit my ailing father in Manila. It had been two years since my last visit to the Philippines and in hindsight, this trip should have been made a lot earlier. At any rate, I had less than two weeks to plan the travel details. Eventually, I ended up flying Cathay Pacific's First Class. I heard so much about the airline's first class service and traveling on it certainly made the 14 hour flight go by very, very quickly since I had my own bed to stretch out in the complimentary pajamas given me by the airline to make my stay even smoother.

The ropes in the foreground separated all First and Business class passengers from the rest of the airline passengers. It was much better from my last airline travel last January in Munich.

What can I say? I guess it's goodbye US carriers for me.
