Wat Po and the Grand Palace

28-Mar-2014 • Bangkok Thailand

There were so many Wats or temples in Bankgok. So many it became difficult for me to distinguish one Buddha from another and the temples they all could be found in.

The second temple we got to visit in Thailand was Wat Po with the reclining Buddha. Unfortunately, there was some construction going on at the time of our visit and we weren't able to take pictures of the interior nor of the Buddha itself.

On our second full day in Bangkok, we took a cab from the hotel and went to the Grand Palace. Little did we know that very appropriate clothing was required of women visitors. There was a section in the palace where women were lent long skirts to wear over their casual clothes. My niece had to wear one.
