Spring has officially begun. To be honest, I think it started the day after Christmas Day. It has really just been very warm here in the San Francisco Bay Area. A case in point, flowers started blooming the first week of Janaury 2014. That's how warm it has been. The Cherry Blossoms which normally bloom in March here fully bloomed mid-January. By February its flowers had all disappeared and become but a memory.

While the people in the east are probably waiting for their seemingly eternal winter to end, I, on the other hand, have been hoping against hope that it would feel like winter and even snow here a little bit. It doesn't snow here in San Francisco, of course, but it sure would be nice if it did. Winters here are so mild. This year, I actually remember it being cold so slightly, and on these rare occasions I just had to wear a light jacket. The seasons are definitely getting weirder and weirder. I have never experienced it this warm in our supposedly winter season.
