The Frederiksborg Castle in Hillerod, Denmark

25-Apr-2014 • Hillerod Denmark

Hillerod was a nice day trip out of Copenhagen. Its main attraction was the Fredericksburg Museum which was actually a very ornately decorated castle. It was very grand.

As usual, a moat surrounded the castle grounds. The moats often always functioned as a deterrent and an obstacle to the enemies of the people within the castle grounds in the olden days.
