San Ildefonso, Madrid

20-Feb-2014 • Madrid Spain

On this most wonderful spring day, I traveled to Segovia via San Ildefonso with fellow Filipino Madrid residents and Filipino Spanish Language teachers from all over the Philippines. Once again, we joined a tour by MUNDOJOVEN. We first stopped to see the Palacio de la Granja before heading to our ultimate destination, Segovia.

Since visitors were not allowed to take pictures inside the palace, all my pictures from the place were limited to the gardens and the palace's façade. My photo albums, however, have the postcards I bought at the gift shop to remind me of the elegant and luxurious interiors. Thank goodness, otherwise, I would not have any clue whatsoever how the halls and rooms looked like inside.

At the gardens of the Palacio Real de la Granja with Flor Salanguit, another recipient of a scholarship from Spain albeit directly from the Instituto de Cooperacion Iberoamericana. He belonged to the batch of Spanish language teachers from all over the Philippines sent to Spain for graduate studies in Spanish language and literature.
