I had the most wonderful opportunity to spend a month and a half in the Netherlands last 1990. I was part of a small close knit group of Filipino students in Madrid invited by a Filipino-Dutch couple to spend the summer in their beautiful home in Leiden. We all had an unforgettable vacation and we made Leiden our base as we toured the beautiful Dutch cities and towns as well as the neighboring Benelux countries and Germany. I am simply dumbfounded and flabbergasted that this trip took place almost 24 years ago. Although so much time has transpired since I took this vacation I still have vivid memories from it.
