Singapore 2006

18-Oct-2013 • Singapore Singapore

Marc and I had the chance to visit Singapore for the second time when we planned our trip to Vietnam and Cambodia over the Christmas holidays of 2006. By this time, we saved on airfare expenses by flying to Singapore using our miles. Marc used his United miles while I used mine with American Airlines. He traveled on United's partner, Singapore Airlines, while I traveled on American's partner, Japan Airlines. We both agreed it wasn't much fun traveling separately and we vowed after this trip that we were going to try as much as possible to travel together on same flights from then on. It just wasn't as much fun traveling without the other. We did fly out of San Francisco on the same night within ten minutes of each other's flights. We also arrived in Singapore at the same time. How cool was that?!

While walking around we saw Emerald Hill Road with its rows of very colorful houses. They looked typically Singaporean.

An Emerald Hill house for sale. I should have bought this one!

On this trip to Singapore, I knew I wanted to visit the Chinese Heritage Museum in Chinatown. I had seen it before during our first visit but just didn't have the time to go then.
