Saigon's Cathedral of Notre Dame

6-Oct-2013 • Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam

The beautiful Cathedral of Notre Dame in Saigon was very close to the post office building. What made the walk from the post office to the cathedral long and scary was the continuous onslaught of local bike traffic. It was very easy to spot who was not a local. They were just like us. We all had to be accompanied by the traffic police to cross the street. How funny!

Crossing the street in Saigon was difficult. However, that was true only on our first day. By the second day, we got the hang of it and we crossed the street without much fear. All we needed was practice and guts, lots of it.
