In Singapore's Botanical Garden

19-Aug-2013 • City of Singapore Singapore

On December 25, 2002, Marc and I traveled to Asia together for the very first time. Little did I know it was going to be the first of many trips we would make to this very exotic world continent. It was both our first visit to Singapore and we were quite impressed with the city.

We had heard so many things about it. We knew that chewing gum was not allowed and even punishable by law. We also knew that it was a very conservative country.

We arrived very late at night. We took a cab to the Marriott Hotel on Orchard Road. As usual, our entire week long stay at this wonderful hotel was free thanks to the points Marc had accumulated over the years with the Marriott Hotel.

On our very first day in the tiny island nation, we signed up for a tour of the city which lasted a couple hours. Our first stop was the Botanical Garden.

Here I was at the Botanical Garden. Marc and I had previously seen it on the Amazing Race.
