Kiasma, The Museum of Contemporary Art

30-Jul-2013 • Helsinki Finland

Marc and I took pictures of Kiasma several times. This entry is a collage of pictures of the museum. We took some at the beginning of our stay in Helsinki while the others were taken towards the end of our stay shortly before our departure for the Baltics. I wish I had pictures of the exhibits but Marc insisted the museum didn't allow photography of any kind. We did manage to take pictures of the building's architecture indoors. To be honest, Kiasma was a huge let down for me. I have never really been very fond of contemporary art. This particular museum was big but had an extremely limited number of exhbits. I just saw more walls than actual work. Anyway, that is just my opinion. I am rather a conservative in terms of art. Other people might find this museum perfectly fine and wonderful. I'm just saying, "It's not for me, folks!"

It reminded me a bit of the Guggenheim in New York. These walkway I mean.

For some reason, this view of the museum reminds me of a whale.
