After visiting Manila for the holidays of 2001 and then traveling to Bangkok with my family between Christmas and New Year's, I proceeded to Hong Kong for the very last leg of my Christmas Vacation in Asia. On this day, I arrived first in the Islands of Hong Kong while Marc arrived later that day. We stayed at the ultra swank J. W. Marriott Hotel in Hong Kong Central.
On our very first day in Hong Kong together, we just walked about Hong Kong Central.
The first thing we saw was this Catholic Church named St. John's Cathedral.

At the time of our visit, Hong Kong had already reverted back to China after the United Kingdom's lease on the islands had expired in 1997.
