On our second full day in the Loire Valley, our Globus tour group woke up early to embark on a wonderful day touring some of the best and grandest chateaus. A local tour guide, a French lady, had to take over from our regular guide, as per mandated by a local law. Apparently only those licensed locally could tour visitors around.

The first stop of the day was Chambord. Unfortunately, the visit was just a photo opportunity since the castle was closed at the time. Anyway, the chateau was impressive from the outside. Simply magnificent.
