Bayeux

11-Jan-2013 • Bayeux France

I was pleasantly surprised when I was leafing through some travel brochures I had about France and saw the same exact picture below featured about Bayeux. Gosh, it's been ages since Marc and I visited this tiny French town but I do still have vivid memories from the visit. How can I possibly forget the visit to the museum devoted exclusively to the 11th century Bayeux tapestry relating the conquest of England by William of Normandy also known as the William the Conqueror. The tapestry was 70 meters long and portraying the historical conquest.

Like many religious towns in Europe, some buildings and homes had some religious statues built into them like this one
