For me,a Paris visit was not complete without a visit to the Louvre. Hence, on our fourth day in the City of Lights, off to the most famous French museum we went.

Here I am in front of the Louvre

Inside the glass pyramid designed by Chinese American architect, I.M. Pei

Walking in awe inside the museum

This impressive painting is officially entitled "The Consecration of the Emperor Napoleon I and Coronation of the Empress Josephine in the Cathedral of Notre-Dame de Paris on December 2, 1804."

Also simply called, the "Coronation of Napoleon", this painting was completed by Jacques-louis David, the Napoleon's official painter. It has imposing dimensions, as it is almost 10 meters wide by approximately 6 meters tall.

Can you guess what all these people are looking at? The painting of this woman with THE smile is enclosed in glass. Can you just imagine that?

One of the hallways filled with priceless art

I wonder if I could buy these someday when they go on sale for half off the retail price?
