Le Meridien Hotel, Frankfurt
I have heard and known of the Le Meriden chain of hotels my entire life. In fact, up until recently I had the mistaken notion that it had its origins in Asia since it literally has a presence, a very strong one at that, from China all the way down south to Indonesia. Moreover, I collect interior design books about hotels worldwide and Le Meridien hotels in Asia are often featured. Needless to say, it is not only famous but is a brand with an excellent reputation. Thus, we we found out that there was one in Frankfurt, we booked a stay there for a few days to kick off our European adventure 2026. We were very satisfied.
I was apprehensive about staying in a hotel directly in front of the train station. The area isn't exactly the most elegant. In fact, it looked shady and a bit scary to me. But, was I wrong.
Our home in Frankfurt for our ninth trip to Germany was Le Meridien Hotel close to the main train station. The last time we were in this German city, we stayed at the Residenz by Marriott. Both accommodations were modern and centrally located. I highly recommend these two when visiting the city.

Our king size bed. I can't complain about our accommodations. The room we were given was very spacious and modern. There was truly ample space to move around with lots of closet space.
Throughout our stay in Frankfurt, we stayed at the Le Meridien, a few steps away from the Frankfurt Train Station. It was a very good choice.
Our room even had a living room area.
The bathroom was equally as spacious and had very good plumbing. I say this because on this trip to Europe, we actually stayed in a couple of hotels where the toilet did not flush very well. That was a fright!
This was the closet. There were enough shelves for our clothes and shoes.
