Liberty Department Store

1-Dec-2025 • London England

I love visiting deparmtent stores. Every time I set foot in London, I always go to Harrods, Fortnum and Mason, and Liberty. I truly enjoy looking at the stores' merchandise and what attracts me most of all is the way the merchandise are wrapped and presented. These stores all remind me of museums but with stuff to buy. I remember us window shopping in Liberty to our heart's content last July.

Here's the main facade of Liberty Department Store.

There was an exhibit inside Liberty when we visited called the Patchwork Collective. It was a collaborative artwork on display from May to July 2025. More specifically, it was an archival exhibition about the brand's 150-year history. The exhibits celebrated Liberty's 150th anniversary through a large-scale patchwork house and a journey through the brand's print archive and creative heritage.

This was the house like structure located in the store's central lobby.

This was an interesting detail on the wooden railings

How's this for a department store? Very quaint, eh?

I loved this set up of plates.

A view of Liberty's facade which reminds me of the half timbered houses in France.
