Halloween is Over!
I'm back! Like always, school work got in the way of my blogging but here I am again. I am just so glad the first three months of school are over. As a teacher, I have always found them the longest, the most demanding and the most stressful months school year after school year. I've always disliked returning to work after a wonderful summer especially if it involved lots of travel. I must say, I cannot get enough of the blitzkrieging my partner and I usually do when we're abroad. Honestly, I feel I can spend months flying to faraway places and discovering new cities. I am never bored especially when there are lots of attractions like palaces, cathedrals, museums, malls, and parks to explore.
I've always liked Halloween because its arrival meant the rest of the year for me was going to be short and my workload easier. For starters, I only work for three weeks in November then it's Thanksgiving break. In December, it's the same. There are only three weeks before my two week Christmas vacation. Unlike in previous years though, I don't have a lot of travel planned. I will go back to Japan but just for a short visit. Spain was the original plan and we did purchase our tickets to Madrid with Air Canada. We were so delighted with our plan until the airline kept changing planes, thereby making our seat reservations different each time. After three changes and after asking the airline to rebook our seats the same number of times over several months, we lost our patience. We decided to change destinations and Tokyo it will be for us on United this time around. It will actually be my 12th visit to the country.
