I got the San Francisco vibe in Portland. I was there only for a weekend but for some reason, I felt very much at home there.  It was cold, very cold but I actually liked cold winters like that.  Perhaps it was this sign which Marc and I saw a block away from the Voodoo donuts store which led me to believe in Portland being liberal.
