Inside the Parliament of Quebec

The Parliament of Quebec

The tour of the Parlliament building was free of charge.  It was a very popular tour and people interested in visiting the site had to sign up before hand.  I believe it was an hour long tour with a guide.  Quebec has a number of must sees and I was glad to know that two of the most important and memorable ones for me were free to the public.  The other tour we took which I liked a lot too was the visit to the Governor's Mansion inside the Citadelle.  I highly recommend these two tours should you visit Quebec.

The very first thing all visitors to the parliament do during the tour is view a short video about the Parliament as well as a brief history of Quebec.  This is the room where viewed the short but interesting film.

Next we proceeded to the National Assembly Chamber

This is the colorful tiled floor of the Parliament lobby.

The restaurant inside the Parliament Building.  I am sure that if you came here during the weekdays and the Parliament was in session, you would literally be hob nobbing with the Quebecois politicians at breakfast and/or lunch.

After the tour, Marc and I took a walk around Parliament Hill.  Could this be the entrance to Disneyland?

Nope, it's the military armoury as this sign says.
