Remembering Brugge

16-Oct-2022 • Brugge Belgium

This blog is a few months late but as one cliche goes, Better Late Than Never.  I have long wanted to write about my recent visit to Brugge but like I always say once the school year begins, there is hardly any time to do anything once I return home Monday to Friday but rest.  Anyway, here goes my walk down memory lane.

I was so glad to return to Brugge after decades.  My visit last July was my second trip to the beautiful Belgian town. We easily spent a full day here.

Me in Brugge after decades! Was I on cloud 9 that day!

On our way to see the Church of the Holy Blood.  I only remembered this church because I had my picture taken in front of it during my first visit and I placed it in my photo album.

Still beautiful as ever.  The city sure has changed and many of the places I visited last July I certainly didn't remember seeing during my first trip.  Anyway, who does after a very long absence?

Souvenirs like chocolotes and beer were for sale just about everywhere in Brugge.

I just had to have my picture taken on this spot.  I sat on this same space years ago.  I wanted to do a before and after picture. Now I have to locate the before picture, lol!

There were thousands of tourists on the day we visited This was one of the outdoor bar and restaurants that catered to the hungry visitors to the city.
