Just like Wangfujing, Qianmen is a modernized street surrounded by hutongs.  In fact the hutongs around Qianmen were far prettier and more active than the ones Marc and I saw around Wangfujing.  There was a lot of hustle and bustle here.  Definitely Old Beijing.  The picture above is one of my most favorite pictures we took on this our most recent China trip.  This is actually the image of China I had all along.
