El Alcazar de Sevilla

10-Nov-2018 • Seville Spain

Marc and I didn't get to make it to Granada on this trip to Spain. However, we were pleased to have visited the Alcazar in Seville which had a striking resemblance to the Alhambra. By the time we actually arrived here, the weather had drastically changed and it had heated up so much. We were glad to be indoors once again. Otherwise, we would have fried up like eggs in a frying pan.

There were many visitors indeed but the site was huge enough it didn't feel suffocating. This was the entrance to the Alcazar.

Loved this façade!

After paying the admission, in we went and toured the premises on our own.

It was this courtyard that reminded me of the Alhambra in Granada.

What intricate details!

This was the exit to the gardens.

This was in the gardens of the Alcazar.

Now this reminded me of the cinterns we saw in Istanbul just a couple of weeks earlier.
