The war tunnels was next in our tour of Gibraltar. It was a long tunnel which we didn't get to explore from start to finish due to time constraints. Although we went touring inside with fellow tourists from our van, we soon lost track of them while we were inside. They actually disappeared from our sights. We initially thought they had gone through the entire tunnel a lot quicker. It turned out they left the tunnels after just a few minutes in them. Marc and I panicked and we left by the same exact way we entered. Sure enough, we saw our guide with our fellow travelers admiring views of Gibraltar from a lookout just outside the tunnel entrance. We must have missed our guide's instructions about the visit because we would have stayed a lot longer and gone the entire length of the tunnel.
