On the day we hired a limo and a driver/guide to Abu Dhabi, we were shown the Za'abeel Palace where the Dubai ruling family lived in.

While we were free to take pictures, we could sense strict security and rightly so. Anyway, no one was allowed to go beyond the area where the security van in the middle right portion of the picture can be seen.

As always there were tons of tourists and don't let the seemingly people empty picture fool you. We all stood right in front of the van you can see in the foreground.

I likewise remember this palace being in the opposite direction of the gorgeous mansion owned by the president of the Emirates Airlines.
